- 184g shea butter
- 85g cocoa butter
- 85g jojoba oil
- 71g grapeseed oil
- 11g vitamin e oil
- 14g kaolin clay

instructions
- in a double boiler melt the shea butter and cocoa butter until fully liquid. remove from heat.
- stir in jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, and vitamin e oil until combined.
- place the mixture in the fridge for 30–60 min until semi-solid. it should feel like soft butter, not fully hard.
- whip with a hand mixer for 3–5 min until it starts to look creamy.
- sift in kaolin clay slowly to avoid clumps. add essential oils.
- whip again for 5–8 min until light, fluffy, and forming soft peaks.
- transfer to jars and store at room temperature.
tips
- chilling to the right texture is key. too soft and it won’t whip, too hard and it won’t get fluffy.
- kaolin clay helps reduce greasiness and gives a smoother skin feel.
- whip long enough to incorporate air. this is what creates the light, spreadable texture.
- store in a cool place to prevent melting.
